Move over, overpriced but oh-so-cute yoga pants. There is a new store in town to accommodate your need for cute, high-quality workout essentials that can transition from gym to street.
Montreal-based active wear company Cory Vines partnered with Mansfield gym to launch the Cory Vines Proshop at the fitness center’s downtown location.
“We’re all about basics, we want to offer pieces that people are going to be able to wear all of the time,”says Ana Tornini, Cory Vines Brand Manager. “We’re all about less is more, nothing has big logos, big printing, and it’s all very simple and minimalistic.”
The collection available at Mansfield, which features clothing for men and women, has some hints of color but there are a lot of neutral shades that can pair with almost everything. There are body-hugging leggings and racerback tanks in soft technical fabrics, invisible undies, socks and headbands.
One of the most popular items is the Path Trapeze sports bra, which features a scoop neck and strappy back details that you will want to show off. The straps are adjustable for a custom fit.
“They [Mansfield] were wanting to accommodate their members, because it happens you know, you forgot your leggings, your forgot your socks, they’re wanting to offer complete services,” says Tornini.
The gym-wear company started as an e-commerce startup in 2013, and its presence keeps growing with in-store locations popping up all over North America.
Mansfield Athletic Club’s mission statement is “keeping fitness simple, fun and an experience worth sharing.” Ashley Couture, Director of Marketing, explains that their goal was to find a brand that reflected their values — mainly to focus on fitness.
The gym is an experience in itself – complete with a bistro, a health clinic and luxurious amenities. All it was missing was an active wear line available on site.
“We had the space here, that we’ve been waiting and just looking for the bright brand to fill,” says Ashley Couture, Director of Marketing at Club Mansfield, “and so it was just really good timing and meeting with the team at Cory Vines, we knew it was the right fit.”
